Clean Slate
The Clean Slate Clinic program is thoughtfully designed to support individuals facing mild to moderate alcohol dependence. For those who find traditional detox services challenging to access, the clinic is a compassionate and flexible alternative.
What is it?
The Clean Slate program is a structured 12-month journey offering comprehensive care and support that goes far beyond the initial detox phase. Participants benefit from a personalised care plan that includes telehealth consultations with experienced doctors, regular check-ins with dedicated nurses, and guidance from peer workers who bring valuable lived experience to the recovery process.
With its remote delivery model, the program ensures accessibility for individuals in rural and regional areas, enabling members to start and sustain their recovery journey from the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
1. Preparation (2–3 weeks): Comprehensive assessments, blood tests, and personalised planning to set the foundation for success.
2. Detox (1 week): Daily video check-ins with a nurse and prescribed medication to safely manage withdrawal symptoms.
3. Aftercare (12 months): Continued support through regular nurse check-ins, peer guidance, and effective relapse prevention strategies to maintain long-term recovery.

The program is designed for individuals with mild to moderate alcohol dependence who are seeking a safe and supported detox. Please check your eligibility* for this program.
*Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the Clean Slate Clinic program, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18 and 80 years of age.
- Have held an eligible hospital cover for a minimum of 2 months.
- Provide explicit written or verbal informed consent prior to enrollment.
- Be likely to benefit from and actively participate in the services offered under the program.
In addition to these requirements, there are specific clinical criteria that must be met. A specialist nurse from the Clean Slate Clinic will conduct a thorough telehealth assessment to determine your suitability for the program.
Please note: The Clean Slate Clinic program is available as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Members must also be on one of the following hospital covers:
