Q: When will my information be provided to the ATO?

All information is lodged with the ATO no later than 14 July. For more information about your private health insurance statement and how the ATO uses this information, visit their website .

Q: What if I had a policy with another fund during this financial year?

If you held a policy with another health insurer during this financial year, you will need to contact your other fund to see how they are providing their tax statements.

Q: What if I need more information about my tax statement?

More information on the provision of and understanding of tax statements, including examples, is available from the Australian Tax Office . Tax time can also raise questions about some of the government surcharges and rebates that have an effect on the cost of your premium. Q: Where do I access my tax statement?

Good news - you no longer need a copy of your private health insurance statement to complete your annual tax return. We will supply details directly to the ATO to facilitate lodgement of your tax return. This information will appear as pre-filled, so you do not require a formal tax statement.
